A year ago, iSource was part of the EU-funded Twinning Project “Support to the Employment Service Agency for implementation of active labor market measures and services”. In cooperation with the Agency for employment in Bitola we implemented the labor measure for reduction of unemployment through delivery of a training program for IT skills. More than 70% of the participants got employment after the end of the training.
In the new Twinning report from the European Commission this Twinning project is presented as a success story. You can find the report on the following link (pg.7): http://ec.europa.eu/enlargement/pdf/taiex/20160601-taieex-activity-report-2015.pdf
The specific objective of the measure was to reduce unemployment among university graduates in IT or related subjects in the Bitola region. The project contributed to the reduction of the outflow of young people from this region too.
iSource implemented this IT training program for three months which upgraded the IT skills and technical capabilities of the participants that are in demand on the labour market. After successful completion of the IT training, the participants were taught how to professionally prepare a job application, followed by an info session on active programs for self-employment and on how to set up a business.
Besides Bitola, in the frames of this Twinning Project, active labor market measures were implemented in three other Macedonian regions —Kumanovo, Tetovo and Skopje.
