During the “Crossroads of Commerce in South-Eastern Europe’ Conference organized by Macedonia 2025, in Toronto, Canada on October 24th, a Macedonian business delegation also met with a number of Canadian companies from October 26 – 31.
The group of Macedonian executives, entrepreneurs and representatives of the business sector visited several highly successful companies and their senior executives including Deloitte Consulting, Corus Entertainment, KCI Medical, Summer Fresh Foods, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, Colour Innovations Printing, George Brown College – Centre for Business. The Turkish Canadian Chamber of Commerce also organized a networking reception with their members, which was attended by Minister for Foreign Investments, Jerry Naumoff.
Mr. Vladimir Robevski, the co-founder of the IT company iSource based in Bitola, Macedonia said that his trip to Toronto exceeded his expectations, “A packed agenda made it possible to immerse in Canadian way of doing business, culture and lifestyle by engaging with diverse selection of individuals and businesses.”
Mr. Robevski identified his primary reasons for attending the Conference in Toronto, he said that he wanted to meet ex-pat Macedonians and Canadians from all walks of life and get a better understanding of the business climate and lifestyle. He also had the opportunity to meet other businesses in the IT / Technology sector and review the benefits of investing and outsourcing to Macedonia, especially in the Bitola region, by partnering with established businesses such as iSource.
Regarding his visits to Canadian companies Mr. Robevski added, “The company visits and networking events with successful organizations werean enriching experience which had a net positive effect in how I perceive Canadian businesses and people. This will surely result in a positive transformation in managing my business and engaging with different types of people. Overall the experience in Toronto was an out of the box experience which broadened my horizons and helped in my personal development – to be more equipped in dealing in international business which in the connected world of today is of paramount importance.”
The Conference and hosting of the business delegation, reconfirms the mandate of Macedonia2025 to stimulate and facilitate economic development through promoting investment, assisting Macedonian companies in bi-lateral trade relations and supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium sized enterprises.
