The Economic Summit  will take place on November 18 – 20, 2015 in Hotel Aleksandar Palace, Skopje, Macedonia. The aim of this Summit is to encompass the focal points in the way forward for Macedonia. A forward-thinking group of experts and relevant industry leaders from the country, its diaspora and from across the world will discuss solutions to the critical issues of economic development.

Last Friday, June 26, 2015 in the Embassy of Macedonia in Paris was held the Business Forum, organized by Macedonia2025. The Forum has for its purpose to connect representatives of the business communities of France, Macedonia, as well as Macedonian professionals who live across Europe, and to present the opportunities for cooperating and investing in Macedonia.

The Forum attracted notable professionals from the Macedonian and French business communities, members of the Macedonian diaspora in Europe, Canada and the US, as well as Members of the Macedonia2025 Board of Directors, who explored the possibilities of cooperating in the IT, agri-business and renewable energy sectors.

On May 21-22, Sofia, Bulgaria was the host of its biggest entrepreneurial event to date. The iSource team attended to this event, CEEDS 2015 conference, which was organized by Webit. Our team represented themselves as a team which offers quality software development solutions and support, such as websites, applications on every platform, games, online marketing strategies, CAD and other services.

During the first day, there seems to be a stronger interest for the Marketing and Innovation talks. CEEDS 2015 is also hosting a StartUp Expo & Founders’ Pitch Stage, plus plenty of networking opportunities for attending startups to get in touch with investors.

Europe’s largest tech conference – Web Summit 2014 took place in Dublin Nov. 4-6 and was attended by over 20,000 people. The iSource team attended the Web Summit and they made a lot of contacts, new friends and acquaintances during it. We presented our skills and the portfolio of our recent projects.  We’re still in that euphoria!

In just three years, it managed to become from just one of many conferences, to “the” event to attend in Europe. The numbers are staggering: 22,000 attendees from 109 countries, 614 speakers, 2,160 start-ups, 1,324 journalists and 2,200 staff. And the Dublin conference is just the beginning: the same guys behind the Summit launched in 2013 the Collision conference in Las Vegas, and they will launch next year the Sync Conference in Asia . It sure does help that in Ireland they have the full support of the government and the fact that almost all the European headquarters of the main Internet companies are based there is another atout, but I do think that they could replicate, at least in part, also elsewhere the success they had.
